Mt. Whitney High School baseball player J.T. Guerrero was voted by readers as the Visalia Times-Delta Tulare County prep athlete of the week. In an online poll that closed on March 24, Guerrero received 8,565 votes, or a 58% majority, of the 14,827 responses. Guerrero threw a complete-game, no-hitter to lead the Pioneers to a 7-0 win over Porterville. He also had a single, a run and an RBI in the East Yosemite League victory.
