Mt. Whitney High School is pleased to announce Payton Allen as the next head baseball coach for the Pioneers My name is Payton Allen, and I grew up in Visalia. I am an alumnus of Golden West High School and then proceeded to play baseball at College of the Sequoias for 3 years. During my time at COS, I earned multiple All-Conference awards and in my third season hit over .400. I was also voted Co-MVP of the league. Following my 3 years at COS I transferred to Fresno State to play baseball under Mike Batesole. I played at Fresno State for 2 years, one of those with a batting average of over .300. This past year I graduated with my degree in Kinesiology Physical Education. Throughout my experiences on and off the baseball diamond, I have learned the importance of hard work and perseverance, something that I plan to instill in the next generation of baseball players. I look forward to leading this team and this program- Go, Pioneers!
